91¿´Æ¬ Davis faculty and staff laced up their comfortable shoes and hit the pavement last week for 91¿´Æ¬ Walks, an annual event held on various dates around the 91¿´Æ¬ system. On the Davis campus (May 31) and the Sacramento campus (May 17), participants had the opportunity to try out the university's new walking loops.

The Staff and Faculty Health and Well-Being Program tallied 355 walkers on the Davis campus and 432 on the Sacramento campus. The 91¿´Æ¬ Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources joined most of the 91¿´Æ¬ campuses in observing 91¿´Æ¬ Walks on May 16, and reported a count of 450 participants at ANR facilities around the state.
91¿´Æ¬ Walks is over for this year, but the 91¿´Æ¬ Davis walking loops are here to stay: Look for the colorful medallions on the ground marking the four 1-mile routes on the Davis campus and a 1-mile loop and a half-mile loop on the Sacramento campus.
The above 91¿´Æ¬ Walks video was posted by Rose Cabral, wellness ambassador for Mrak Hall.
