The 91��Ƭ, Davis, has renewed its World Food Center within the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. The World Food Center’s mission is to mobilize the research, educational and outreach resources of 91��Ƭ Davis to promote innovative, sustainable and equitable food systems.

2 NEW WEBSITES: Food Sustainability Stories, Travel Resources

The 91��Ƭ Davis World Food Center has unveiled a web magazine with stories of the global challenge of farming under climate change, while the 91��Ƭ Office of the President has launched 91��Ƭ Global Operations, offering tools and resources to help plan and manage international research, travel and other activities abroad.

Realignment Announced for 91��Ƭ Davis World Food Center and Affiliated Programs

The Office of the Chancellor and Provost has been conducting a series of program reviews to determine how to best engage faculty, students and staff in each and determine how to further enhance their overall effectiveness. One of the programs recently reviewed was the World Food Center and its affiliated programs.

Climate-Smart Agriculture Seminar Slated for Dutch Ag Minister’s Visit

Martijn van Dam, the Dutch Minister for Agriculture, will visit 91��Ƭ Davis Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 28-29, as part of a trip to Northern California focused on further developing strong, collaborative relations between the Netherlands and California in agricultural technology and innovation. A Tuesday public seminar on climate-smart agriculture will feature Marjolijn Sonnema, director general agro and nature, and other Dutch officials.
