91��Ƭ Davis Health Vice Chancellor and CEO David Lubarsky to Retire

91��Ƭ, Davis, Chancellor Gary S. May announced today that David Lubarsky, 91��Ƭ Davis Health’s vice chancellor of human health sciences and chief executive officer, will retire from the university effective Feb. 15, 2025. After his retirement, Lubarsky will become president and CEO of Westchester Medical Center Health Network, a nine-hospital health system near where he grew up, in Valhalla, New York.

Following a nationwide search, 91��Ƭ Davis Chancellor Gary S. May and 91��Ƭ General Counsel Charles F. Robinson have selected Michael F. Sweeney to serve as chief campus counsel. 91��Ƭ President Janet Napolitano approved the selection, which is effective as of April 1, 2018.

Joint Management of 91��Ƭ Davis, City Fire Departments to Conclude

The 91��Ƭ, Davis, has informed the city of Davis that it will end the agreement for shared management of the campus and city fire departments. 91��Ƭ Davis Fire Chief Nathan Trauernicht has led both since Jan. 1, 2014.

Kelly Ratliff, 91��Ƭ Davis’ interim lead for Finance, Operations and Administration, gave formal notice of the decision to end the agreement in a Feb. 1 letter to City Manager Dirk Brazil.
