Elsevier Cuts Off 91��Ƭ Access to 2019 Articles

Elsevier is discontinuing the 91��Ƭ’s access to its 2019 journal articles, the latest development since contract negotiations with the Dutch company stalled in February.

Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Ralph J. Hexter recently added “Vice Provost of Digital Scholarship” to University Librarian MacKenzie Smith’s title in recognition of the evolution of scholarly communications in the 21st century and concomitantly of her role at 91��Ƭ Davis.

The new title, which took effect this month, acknowledges Smith’s national expertise in digital scholarship and will solidify 91��Ƭ Davis and the 91��Ƭ Davis Library’s leadership in digital scholarship with 91��Ƭ Davis’ academic and industry partners throughout the country, Hexter said.
